This woman takes the cake -

She leaves her two year old asleep with the mall valet while she shops

She takes her dog with her and shops for a Christmas present, has it wrapped, buys make-up and chats with a friend before returning to her car half an hour later. And to make it even worse (is that possible?) she asks the arresting officer if she's in trouble. One of the parking valets turned her in, he should get a reward and a medal.

Now she has her name and her picture all over the internet. Can you imagine 12 years from now? Yes Johhny, I left you in the car, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I envision lots of therapy for that kid.

Let's go over the rules for the challenged. Never, ever leave your child unattended. In a car, at a playground, at the mall or anywhere else. If you aren't there and they are, there needs to be a competent adult in control of your child. Preferably someone with childcare experience. A warm body (like a valet at a mall) doesn't count even if you're going to tip them later. If you're still confused - would you leave your dog in the car alone? No? Then the kid goes too, even if he's asleep.

Ok, I'm done fuming now.
