The Transfer to a New Ezine Provider - Importing Existing List

I've been dreading transferring my email list from one provider to another. I keep reading other's issues with massive lists of unverified email addresses being blocked forever. Complaints on various boards about clients being unable to get onto the list even after trying several times.

Switching to aweber seems to be a daunting task. I imported the first batch and it complained about 'insconsistent values' and told me the list was being manually verified. Hmm. What the heck does that mean? I imported a list of email addresses, how inconsistent is that?

Quick phone call to aweber's support. On hold for a few minutes. Human answers. I explain my problem and he miraculously knows I'm the importer. He states we have a few emails that the host no longer exists or an invalid looking email address. I'd already removed the guy with three hundred spaces in his email address - thanks by the way, whoever that was. I envision this lengthy process, but within a minute he's approved and removed and all is well.

Thanks aweber - That didn't hurt at all. Now to prepare for the avalanche of people verifying their subscriptions. Eeek! I think my email account is on fire.
