In my quest to rid myself of spam, I've searched and searched for a workable solution.
I tried using my email product's filter system, but they still managed to creep in. Requests for products I didn't want and for body parts I didn't have. The long list of stock value emails. If I just respond to this email, I'll be earning $1,000s per day. Every morning - they wink at me in my Inbox - we're still here!
I may have found my solution in JunkMatcher. Yes, its on the Mac, so if you're a PC person, you can stop reading. I installed it, without a hitch. It lurks in the background off of a Mail.app rule. If the sender isn't in my receipients list, my sender list or they aren't in my address book - run the program. It diligently checks against a list of rules and puts the offenders in my junk folder.
I let it run this afternoon - and not a single thing crept by it. I actually had to check if it was working - no spam in the Inbox - I kept thinking my mail was broken. Four hours later and still no spam. We'll see what tomorrow morning brings.
Update: 98 emails caught this morning in JunkMatcher. Only three I would have considered incorrectly identified as spam - by me, not by JunkMatcher. I put those people in my address book so they won't be caught next time. It would be nice to have an automated way to mark them instead of adding them to my address book.

Thanks for your recommendation on a spam filter for Mac users. More and more of our customers are using Macs and I didn’t have a solution to suggest to them.
