If I were an insect, I'd be a butterfly. No, not because of its colorful wings. I flit from project to project on a mere whim. If it interests me, I want to do it. If its new, its exciting for me. So, I have lots of projects going at the same time. An entry I read in John Reese's blog hit pretty close to home:
My advice to you is to take what you currently have that's making money and sitdown with a legal pad and a pen for a few hours (in a quiet environment) and don't get up until you can write down *100* new ways to generate more business for THAT project.
He goes on: If you're not making more this month than you were last month, or the month before that, you're doing something WRONG. Making more money online is EASY if you follow the simply philsophy of GRADUAL IMPROVEMENT. (Which is one of my favorite business principles.)
I'll add this:
If you're spreading yourself too thin, stop right now. Pick your best idea and concentrate on it. Spending time building it before you drop it. If you're bored easily, pick different aspects of the same thing to work on each time. Get off your butt and get out your planning pad. Work on it today, create something tht will get you money, now. We all spend way too much time on the edges, the website, addiing sound files, graphcs, a logo, got to plan the program. Stop it all and find a way to get what you have now working for you.
Stop finding excuses and do it.
