Networking with Friends

Do you keep in touch with your friends via email? Do you have an email signature that goes out on every email? If not, you are missing out on one of the greatest opportunity to build a list of qualified prospects.

Remember the Breck shampoo commercial. I told two friends about Breck and they told two friends, and they told two friends? You can use that same technique via email, every day, every time you send out an email.

Most email programs allow you to attach a signature to the bottom of your email automatically. You type in the information into an editing window and when the email goes out, it gets attached. What should it say? That's up to you.

Many people use their name, phone number, email address and a link to their website. Make sure the link is the first item on the list and make it go to an interesting page on your website. A flash presentation that takes them to a form that signs them up for your newsletter is a great technique.

No flash skills? You can download free or low cost presentations from the web, do a search on Flash presentations in your favorite search engine to find them. This company makes a product that allows you to make flash programs without Flash skills, there are others as well. Find a graphic designer or a web designer with Flash skills, they may be willing to put together your presentation for less if you give them billing on the presentation.
