A woman I admire, Sarah Jessica Parker recently said in an interview 'Even when the odds are stacked against you, have a crazy-big dream and then proceed.' Sarah is ending her long running HBO show, Sex and the City. She thought through if she wanted to end it on a high note or keep going. She didn't discuss it with her cast members, she just made her decision and went on.
I admire her for her decision, her ability to make a decision that affected cast members and her support staff as well. She was given an opportunity to take the part and felt it was a great one. Her move into becoming the executive producer came later.
I admire her for her honesty in talking about her less than affluent past and her fear that her affluency may go away. What can we learn from her? She had a dream, a dream to become more than just an actress and she did it.
What's your crazy-big dream and how will you proceed?
