Building the Walls Before the Foundation

August 2nd, 2005 · No Comments

When you put up a structure, the first item scheduled for installation is the foundation, right?

So why do so many businesses attempt to put up the walls before they've established the foundation. I see struggling owners attempting to erect an infrastructure for a million dollar corporation before they have the money, resources and need behind it to support it.

Business agility is building only what's necessary when its needed. You don't build a three story, 4000 square foot home when you're a single guy with no children and a moderate income.

Concentrate on what your business needs immediately. Don't jump into the trap of building what you don't need just to 'be ready' when you hit the big time.
