Agile Resistance

August 5th, 2003 · No Comments

Extreme programming is a simplistic process aimed at reducing the complexity and errors involved in software development. I've seen it work on large, complex projects, I've seen it work for one-person projects. Programmers and testers enjoy using the process. Managers are pleased to have a process that works and guess what! Users are actually part of the methodology.

So given the above why does XP provoke resistance? Christian Sepulveda offers his views in Emotional Resistance to Agile Development. Gregg Vaughn writes about the resistance he has encountered. C. Keith Ray writes about how the remarkability of XP makes it a target for resistance in Fitting in and Standing Out.
